I always keep hazardous substances in higher racks beyond the reach of my son. I also make sure that everything is out of his way so that he can play without any disturbances. I do not take any chances.

Yeah I agree, constant supervision is needed as small kids do not know the difference between harmful and harmless things. Once my daughter drank a perfume bottle. it was really very scary. I was very stressed out. I took her to a hospital got her stomach washed.

It is very difficult managing a toddler or a crawling baby as they tend to put everything in the mouth. Sometimes it may lead to accidental poisoning.
